Principal's Message

Mrs. Heller's Message

I am very excited to welcome all our students, families, and staff back to school!  I am looking forward to a fascinating 2021-2022 school year. While we will still be following strict protocols and guidelines to keep everyone safe, we have been working hard to make sure we can create a warm and welcoming environment. This summer, we have been busy preparing new programs for our students and working on events that allow our families to feel part of our learning community.

As we are set to begin this new school year, I want to remind all our students just how proud we are of all of them. While the world has presented some unimaginable circumstances over the past eighteen months, our children have adapted, coped, and reworked their environments over and over to try to understand what was happening around them. Although it was not always easy, our children have persevered, and now we are set to welcome all our students back into our school. As Principal, my priority is creating an environment that supports the well-being of our children. This starts with our students feeling part of our learning community. Collectively our staff will strive to foster, build, and reinforce the skills needed to adopt a healthy social and emotional perspective. I look forward to getting to know all of our students better, building relationships that allow them to gain a sense of trust and comfort!

To our families, I welcome all of you to our school. My goal is to create an environment that is welcoming and inviting to our families. The role families play in education is immeasurable. We need your support! I believe when we work together toward the same goal, we can accomplish great things. This year we will plan activities based on current guidelines to build a community feel in our school. I look forward to collaborating with you to support your child. Please know I have an open door, open contact policy. I encourage you to reach out to me with whatever may be on your mind, ideas for improvement, suggestions for building our community relationship, and most of all, with any concerns, small or large. I would instead address minor issues before they expand into big problems.

To our fantastic staff, I want to welcome you to the new school year! Watching all of you over the past eighteen months confirms your dedication to the students at Bellmawr Park School. With each twist and turn, change, and redirection, you created a student-centered learning environment. As we begin a new school year, I want to thank you and let you know just how appreciated you are! My goal for this year is to provide the support you need to meet the needs of our students. I look forward to collaboratively working to build strong relationships, a strong team, and a strong learning community.  My door is always open, and I am always available to work in partnership to address any topics.

In closing, be on the lookout for information regarding our new PBSIS program. We will be introducing our Bellmawr Park PBSIS (Positive Behavior Support In Schools) Dragon PRIDE program early in September. Please see the link on the website under Students and Families.

Also, please visit our website to see our Dragon Tales section for “everything happening” at Bellmawr Park School. This will be a student-driven section of our website. More details will follow about how students can participate.
