"Children are made readers on the laps of their parents."
~Emilie Buchwald

The most important nightly homework in Kindergarten is reading!  Please spend at least 15 minutes a night reading with your child.  Have them "read" to you, do a shared read or just let them relax and listen.  All of these are great ways to improve your kindergartners reading skills! Don't forget to log your book time on the 100 Book Challenge Reading Log.

In addition to nightly reading, we encourage you to review your child's high frequency words with them each night.

Occasionally throughout the year there will be additional projects sent home to be completed.  These generally go along with a special time of year or a specific theme we are working on.
